Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer finally reveals baby daughter's name
Lady Kitty Spencer has finally revealed her baby daughter's name in a post. Taking to Instagram on Sunday, 30 June, the 33 year old shared a sweet black-and-white snap of her planting a kiss on her precious little one's cheek.
The niece of Princess Diana looked stunning in the photo snapped at a windowsill, as she dressed in a classy shirt with lace detailing paired with denim jeans. Meanwhile, her mini-me is seen looking out through the glass, as she poses in a summer dress decorated with bees.
Revealing her daughter's name to her followers, the cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry penned the caption: "Athena watching the world go by," followed by a simple white heart.
Royal fans were quick to share their delight at the moniker, with one person writing: "What a beautiful name and photo." Another added: "Such a beautiful name!" While a third echoed this sentiment, adding: "Athena is so gorgeous!! Like her mama."
On Mother's Day in March 2024, Lady Kitty announced she had welcomed their first child with her husband Michael Lewis, 64.
She shared a stunning collection of images of her enjoying a picturesque walk along the beach with her daughter. She captioned the pictures: "It’s the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one. I love you unconditionally. Happy Mother's Day to those who celebrate today."
Fans were quick to congratulate the model, with one person commenting: "I didn't know you became a mum, congratulations." While another gushed: "Oh wow! Didn't know you had a little bub. How gorgeous!"
Kitty has previously opened up about her desire to start a family during a candid interview with Town & Country magazine, while explaining why she tries to keep a lot of her personal life out of the spotlight.
"It's not that I don't place an importance on love. It's because, for me, love is the most important thing in the world, and I will protect it with all my heart by not making it a topic of discussion. I just look forward to a really happy home life: a happy marriage and happy children. And I feel very at peace that things play out the way they should," she said.
Kitty is the daughter of Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer and his first wife, Victoria Aitken. In July 2021, she married millionaire businessman Michael during a lavish wedding ceremony in Rome, which saw her wearing multiple bridal gowns designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
